The Wood Axe is a tool used in Hunt: Showdown. Like the Sledgehammer, it is used in opening barricaded doors, serving as a way to avoid using noise-producing weapons or explosives. It is used againts mobs and Hunters. It is a one shot kill on the Armored when it is struck in the head.
It is only found in the world and not purchasable.
